Hi there, I’ve recently purchased another license of X but have noticed I am receiving the following notification on the activation and add ons page.

“Could not establish connection. Please ensure your firewall is not blocking requests to theme.co”

I have been in touch with my host (WPengine) and they have said they don’t think its an issue their end. The website is a copy from a previous installation. I generally always work this way as a starting point and then make sure each site has a unique X License and API key. I have not seen this issue before though.

Can someone help solve the issue.

    Thanks

There’s a lot of people with this issue today, me included. Methinks the worlds hosts have all ganged up on Theme.co and decided to wait until today to throw the switch and lock out all of us in one go…

Yes, I confirm this. It doesn’t work for me too whereas it was ok a few days ago. We surely must wait for tomorrow.

Same here. Just purchased the theme. Checked my PHP and firewall setup, all is well. No joy on validating the product.

    Maybe tomorrow?

    Maybe it is this issue:
    https://theme.co/x/member/forums/topic/please-fix-your-theme-co-ssl-cert-chain/

Simple check would be to run
    wget https://theme.co/x/member/demo-api/
on the server or using core control to log the connection.

    Hi There,

    Thanks for writing in.

    This issue is already reported.

For safe temporary fix, just remove this after the server is fix.

    – Open your /wp-includes/certificates/ca-bundle.crt
    – Add this at the end:
