I’ve upgraded new Xtheme and Cornserstone but cornerstone won’t open up the old XTheme pages - and when it does, it doesn’t show the content of the old page
Any thoughts anyone…

Hello Steve,
Thanks for writing in! Legacy shortcodes should still work even if you are using the latest version of the X theme and Cornerstone plugin. You may be having some issues like caching. Please check out this documentation guide to resolve this:

Hello Steve,
Did you use Cornerstone in building these pages? Please be advised that only pages created in Cornerstone can be edited in Cornerstone. If you have been editing with the WP editor and using the legacy shortcodes, those contents will still not being recognize by Cornerstone simply because you have done editing outside of Cornerstone. And if you also have edited the pages outside of Cornerstone, it may corrupt cornerstone data which will never allow you to edit the page back in Cornerstone.
Hope this explains it briefly.
Thnaks for reply.
I was given the site to sort so don’t really know - were you able to tell by looking what the original author used?
Just noticed that there is a plugin called X Shortcodes - what was that - it seems to be a legacy plugin
Hey Steve,
Yes, X Shortcodes is a legacy plugin before Cornerstone was created, and judging by the page structure, the page was built by it. That is not compatible with Cornerstone like what Ruenel said. You will need to manually rebuild the old pages using Cornerstone and this is strongly recommended because working with shortcodes or codes, in general, is error-prone.
Hope that helps.
