Xpro cornerstone wpml

hey guys iam having hard time translating some emelements in wpml. web made with xpro theme and cornerstone builder

for example headline element translates only headline but not subheadline

would you please advise how to solve this issue ? thank you in advance

Hello @Timacek,

Thanks for writing in! You may have not translated the page built in Cornerstone correctly. Please check out this documentation to know how you can properly translate a page:

Best Regards.

hi @ruenel copying works quite well, the thing is that not all elements are registered in wpml it seems. that even the slightest design changes will not mirror to translated pages and if you do some design change and copy the page again you loose all the translated content

if would all elements be registered i can use the editor and every design changes made in original will mirror to translated pages and I would not need to translate content again.

If you can provide updated https://github.com/OnTheGoSystems/wpml-config/blob/master/cornerstone/wpml-config.xml config that should work

also here you claim that it should be all in, i own three licences of prox

thanks for the support

Hey @Timacek,

I’d first answer your last concern:

Though it says Last tested on: December 11, 2021, the description is old and refers to “all elements” of the first Cornerstone version. “All elements” were later called Classic Elements.

With that said, if you wish to have a single template and translate contents separately, you should use all Classic Elements and use the WPML’s Translation Editor

Otherwise, the translation should be done manually (https://theme.co/docs/wpml#translation). This is because the content V2 or the non-Classic elements are not available in the WordPress editor so I believe it’s technically hard if not impossible to integrate them with WPML, unlike the Classic elements.

Please stay tuned for future updates maybe there will be a way to make V2 elements translatable.

Thanks.

Hi iam sorry but i dont think so, at December 11, 2021 xpro/cornerstone already used the new elements. Some of the new elements are correctly integrated in fact most of them and a few are not or only partialy. If you would just update the xml on your github page everything would be OK
So is it possible or with a new system you abadon the wpml support iam kinda confused.

Thanks in advance

Hey @Timacek,

Yes, all the V2 elements including all text options within them need to be integrated into WPML. As to when that will happen, we can’t tell as there’s no timeline for that yet.

I’ve already posted your concern in our issue tracker so this will be queued to be looked at by our development team.

Thank you for understanding.
