I was user testing a site today on my ipad mini in safari, and although the hamburger icon shows up, nothing happens when I click it. I checked a couple of other sites I built, and they have the same issue. I checked a few that I built with other builders and they work fine. I built a new header for the site I’m working on and got it to work, but don’t want to have to go back and rebuild headers on all of the older sites. Is this a known issue? I will send a few links in a private message.
Hello @jlswilton,
Thanks for writing in! Please be advised that our developers have released an update a few days ago. Our latest versions are:
- X theme 10.1.9
- Cornerstone 7.1.9
You can check out the changelog here:
Best Regards.
Everything is updated on these sites. I am using X on some and Pro on others and experiencing issues with both. Here is a video showing the issue on one site. The screen recording in this video is on an iphone 13 pro that is completely updated. On this site, the menu will open on some pages and not on others. This site is using X.
The site I am currently working on is Pro, and the mobile menu will not work at all on the ipad. It does work on the iphones I have tested it on.
I have multiple other sites running both Pro and X that are experiencing this issue, mostly on ipads. I have an ipad air and an ipad mini. Both are experiencing these issues. Both are updated completely. The fact that this is an issue on most of my sites is really concerning. I would greatly appreciate an expedited reply. I will send credentials to several sites in a private note.
Hello @jlswilton,
We have investigated the issue and we believe that this is a bug in the latest release of the theme. We already have escalated the issue so that our developers will make this a priority.
Please bear with us.
Would it make sense for me to roll back to an older version until the issue is fixed? If so, how do I do this?
Hi @jlswilton,
Did you have a backup before you updated? Or do you have a staging site where you can test to use the older version? I would personally suggest using a staging site before reverting anything. We just do not want to have more issues instead of just the mobile menu toggle.
Cheers.
I don’t have a staging site anymore but I can roll back to an earlier version. I will take a backup of this one in case there are issues but do you have an ETA of when this issue will be fixed? It’s kind of a major issue- I’m sure I’m not the only one.
Also, the revolution slider I have under the header on several sites is no longer working either. Really frustrated with this update breaking so many things.
Can someone please reply? It’s been three days since I got a response and all of my sites are broken.
@jlswilton I have the same problem! Whatever Themeco have done in .1.9 it’s breaking a lot of sites. Patiently waiting for an update!
Was really hoping this would be addressed in this emergency update, but no. It’s been 5 days since I got a reply from Themeco. Very disappointing.
The sites provided have worked on a majority of Mobile device I’ve looked at. The only thing I could determine is they don’t work on iOS 12, but that’s been the case for most of Pro6 unfortunately. We are happy to provide that support too. Based on the messages though it sounds like that’s not the issue though.
@boomfly If possible I would send us your site so that we might have a look.
Both my ipad air and ipad mini are running 12.5.7, which it says is the latest version. There are some pages on certain sites that work, but most do not. What can be done about this?
Okay that’s actually great because it means It’s the issue I’m expecting. Nothing on your end unfortunately, but the fix is coming in a release or two.
