Wpml with Themeco

I want to use WPML with Themeco (Cornerstone) to translate pages and ACF fields we’ve set up. However, we’ve noticed that once a page is translated via WPML, any graphic or text update made in Cornerstone gets overridden by the WPML translation update.
What’s the best way to translate a page with WPML without losing Cornerstone builder functionality?
We couldn’t find the necessary information in your documentation.

Hello @deciplex,

Thanks for writing to us.

Please have a look at this doc to learn more about how to translate the page with WPML.

Hope it helps
Thanks

Hello,

Thank you for your response.
However, the documentation does not answer the question previously asked.

Hey @deciplex,

We need to see how the issue is happening so please provide a video recording showing how the issue occurs and we’ll try to replicate it on our test site to see if there’s an issue.

Please also provide the following details in a Secure Note so we can check your backend setup.

  • WordPress Admin URL
  • Admin username and password

Thanks.

Here is the link to the video that shows you that the translation is no longer changing. We had just previously changed a text color on the page via Cornerstone.

Hey @deciplex,

It looks like WPML brings the content back to the WordPress Editor when you use its translator. Regretfully, that is on WPML’s side so the only solution for now is not to use the WPML Translator.

The standard way to translate Cornerstone pages is to use Cornerstone’s Translation feature which you can learn here https://theme.co/docs/wpml#translation
