WPML issues with Header

HI.

I have an issue on 2 new builds in Pro 6.0.3. When I create the first language header and then try to created the 2nd language header by either copying or starting blank it fails.

Is there anything different we need to do to ensure we can create alt headers in the new release ?

I disabled all plugins except wordfence, Manage WP, and no luck. I also disabled Mod security as I remember in the past there were some glitches… None of this helped.

WP 6.1.1
PHP 7.4.33

Thanks

What conditions are you using for your headers to conditionally switch them? Might be easier if you send me a screenshot. I would also try to up the priority (to like -5) on the Alt header condition so it is taken before the standard header. Thanks let me know if that helped and if not I just think I need a little more info on your setup.

Hi Charlie.

There is just one header . I have always used the copy option when clicking on the language (flag) in the header editor. Attached are the steps I use to edit and then attempt to clone the header in the alternate language.

We’ve done this about 50 other sites and is only becoming an issue in V6… so must be a config with WPML … I can provide login creds if that helps.

Okay internally this was brought up today and it’ll get looked at this week. Are you getting any errors from WP_DEBUG?

Thanks Charlie

Here’s what appears

Those can be ignored unless WPML is redirecting which I doubt.
We’ll be taking a look at WPML tomorrow. I’ll give you an ETA then.

Thanks.

I didn’t ;t think they were related… but appreciate the quick action. I’ll be certain to be more proactive on the next beta.

So I’ve got some things fixed on WPML already in a branch, aiming for finishing next week with a release of 6.0.5. There’s notes in the code that you’ll need to save a given document if you enabled WPML after creating a document. That will be a clearer error message when we release this fix. Saving with no changes should fix that issues. To double check anything you created before in WPML in V5 was linking correctly in the builder? The issues with WPML are mainly with creating new duplicates and “blanks”? Let me know if you were having any other issues with WPML.
We always welcome more testers thanks! Have a great day.

Perfect thanks for the update.

As of now, I don’t see any other issues with WPML.
