WPML issues still ongoing (follow-up)

Hi,

We recently opened a ticket with regards to a conflict with WPML and Cornerstone (here : https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/status-report-on-the-wpml-vs-cornerstone-conflict/64118/4).

At first, everything was going well, but for some reason, it seems that one specific page is still experiencing issues

Here’s an image of what’s happening :

I tried using the Translation Editor or WPML and editing the english (2nd language) content using Cornerstone, but ways are not working fine.

My current “specs” are as follows:

  • WordPress 5.2.3
  • Theme X 7.0.4
  • WPML (main plugin) 4.2.9
  • WPML String Translation 2.10.7
  • WPML Translation Management 2.8.8
  • WPML Media 2.5.3
  • WPML Shortcodes 1.2.6

Hi, setymintl,

Would you please test the case using the method below:

  • Duplicate the page in question using this plugin.
  • The duplicated version of the page does not have the link between the translated version and that is what we want to have.
  • Go to the duplicated page using the Cornerstone and click the other language flag at the bottom right section of the screen.
  • If asked, choose to copy/duplicate the page for translations.
  • Now go over the newly copies page in the second language and do the translation inside the Cornerstone by changing the Text inside elements.

The method above will circumvent the WPML Translation Editor, which is the cause of the problem.
