Wp-config.php file locked

Hi guys,

Cornerstone is completely broken on my site. Won’t load any elements and also doesn’t scroll down the left hand menu editor on fron-end editor.

I posted this issue a while back (https://theme.co/apex/forum/t/cornerstone-constantly-buffering-and-wont-scroll/22139)

I was advised to update my wp-config.php file, which I am now trying to do.

Only problem is, I get permission denied through FTP, ‘file is not writable’ through WPCF editor plugin, and the file is locked on the server.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

this is the site for reference:

Thanks a lot!

Hi there,

Please try to login through FTP and edit the wp-config.php file from there.

Hope this helps.

This is the error message I get when trying to edit through FTP:

Command: CWD /public_html
Response: 250 OK. Current directory is /public_html
Command: TYPE A
Response: 200 TYPE is now ASCII
Command: PORT 192,168,10,16,255,90
Response: 200 PORT command successful
Command: STOR wp-config.php
Response: 553 Can’t open that file: Permission denied
Error: Critical file transfer error

Try downloading your wp-config.php file, edit it locally then upload to your server again. If that does not help, please contact your web host support as to why you have no permission to edit your files. Also try the solution suggested here to correct permission issues.

Thanks.

Thanks, that suggestion worked - however, problem still remains.

I’ve updated the memory limit in the wp-config.php file, and cornerstone still isn’t working at all.

I really need this fixed as client is getting impatient!
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Is there anyone who can take a look for me if I provide them with the back end details?
Thanks

Hi there,

I’ve resolved the problem now, I can’t believe it - but it was as simple as updating my browser!
