I have used cornerstone with x theme previously and was fine - since the new update however, it hasn’t bee working.
For some reason, the cornerstone menu down the left hand side in live preview customise mode won’t scroll down, so only the options at the top are ever visible. Secondly, the live previews don’t load, they just buffer constantly.
See screenshot attached.
In fact, the page builder won’t even let me drag any elements on to the page - something is seriously wrong!

Do you have any caching or minify plugin installed? Please disable that first. They are best turn on when you are done editing/creating your site.
On the other hand, you might be experiencing time outs. We recommend that you increase your memory allocated to PHP. To increase it, please edit your wp-config.php file and insert these lines:
define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );
define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '512M' );
You can add it before the line
/*That's all, stop editing! Happy Blogging. */

I will try this when I get a second.
I also realised - I don’t have the x child theme installed, just the actual x theme itself. Could this be part of the problem?
Is there an easy way for me to install the child theme and see if that helps at all?

It is very unlikely that the fact you are not running a child theme is causing this.
If you wish to use a child theme for any other reason you can download it from here, install and activate it.
