Word Press Fatal Error - Unable to Activate Child Theme after Pro update

Hi Guys,

We just recently updated the X-Theme, on our wildstone.in website. We recently updated the XPro, We are now facing all sorts of issues.

  1. We can’t activate child theme (showing fatal error)
  2. Unable to update template (format mismatch)

We are a commerce site and it is impacting our ability to sell. We would greatly appreciate your help.

Look forward to hearing from you.

Hi @anilpanda

We have visited your website, but it is working fine and shows no errors as mentioned.
In this scenario, we would like to suggest you perform the following troubleshooting procedures which I think is applicable for your case.

PLEASE CHECK CHILD THEME IS CREATED PROPERLY
TESTING FOR PLUGIN CONFLICT
PHP ERRORS ON CHILD THEME
VERSION COMPATIBILITY

To check on child theme please go through this article: https://theme.co/docs/child-themes
As you have converted X to Pro, you also need to convert the child theme to Pro also. See https://theme.co/docs/converting-from-x-to-pro

Please remember that we don’t troubleshoot issues with child themes

Thanks

HI @tristup,

We had to activate back to standard Xthem as opposed to Child Theme.

Here is the Error dump :
Undefined variable: bar_position in /var/www/*(our website)/wp-content/themes/pro-child/framework/views/elements/bar.php

$class_position = ‘x-bar-’ . $bar_position; – LIne 14 Definition

Look forward to hearing from you.

Our purchase e-mails aren’t going either. Custome css isn’t showing. (as you can imagine).

Please help it is urgent for us!

@tristup,

Hi @anilpanda

The quickest solution to that is to delete elements/bar.php from your child theme.
If you need to fix the broken files, regretfully, we do not provide support for child theme modifications

If you need any further customization, you can avail of our newly launched service called One.

Thanks
