Woocommerce single product not showing page content

Hi team awesome. I realize i can’t use pro to build the single product page. But i have used the default content area for the product and no content will show on the page still? It just shows the image, short desciption and checkout btn. So without using pro, how can i still add extra content to the product page? I k now i’ve done so with other themes so wondering if there is something strange happening? I’ve turned off pro permissions for products as well.

Hi @eyedia,

Thank you for reaching out to us. Please be advised that content builder in Pro is a page builder. You can use it to edit a posts or pages. When editing a product page using content builder, you can only edit the product description area and not the whole product page layout. The product page layout is utilizing the WooCommerce templating system which layout the structure in displaying the product image on the left, product summary on the right and the rest of the product description at the bottom.

Please go to Pro > Theme Options > WooCommerce > Single Product. Product Tabs must be enabled especially the Description Tab.

Hope this helps.

Hi @nabeel
Thank you for your response.
I have tried with and without pro enabled for products and still have no luck.
Without pro enabled (permissions turned off)

  • i add plain text in the default wordpress page editor.
  • product page shows the product image, short decription and add to cart button
  • the additional information area does not show regardless

With pro enabled:

  • The content in the default editor still doesn’t show
  • opening the product in cornerstone, I have no ability to change anything at all

So i don’t really need pro to edit to product although it would be nice. I just need the additonal information area to atleast display

Hello @eyedia,

When you edit a product in Pro Editor or Cornerstone, your edits will only display in the Pro Editor/Cornerstone editable area.

If in case the description area does not display, it may be turned OFF as pointed out by @Nabeel. If it is already turned ON, there might be a 3rd party plugin that prevents it from displaying. Please for a plugin conflict and see to it that there are no custom CSS that hides the description tab.
