WooCommerce product category pages are displaying an empty page with no products shown | Pro Child and Parent Theme issue

Hi, I recently posted an issue in the WooCommerce forum about the product category pages displaying as empty, with no products listed, even though the category count shows that there are products available. The plugin support suggested creating a staging site and using the Storefront theme to test if the product category would display correctly, and I confirmed that the product category using the Storefront theme is working and displaying properly. However, when I switch back to my Pro child theme, it’s missing again.

Now, they replied to me to contact you about the issue, and if you can provide a fix, offer a patch, or include a resolution in a future update, that would be great. The forum thread link about our discussion is below: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/woocommerce-product-category-pages-are-showing-an-empty-page-with-no-products/

I look forward to hearing from the team soon. Thanks.

Hi,

Thank you for the reply. I have already completed the troubleshooting steps, and switching to the parent theme did not resolve the issue with the missing product category pages. Therefore, I set up a staging site (included in the secure note) and changed the theme to Storefront, which displayed the product category pages on the front end. I confirmed that this is a theme conflict, and they checked it as well in the forum thread. Anyway, please let me know once you have checked it.

Thank you!

Hello @Curiouser,

The category pages are supposed to display 3 columns. It is not displaying because you and added this custom CSS code in Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS:

ul.products.columns-3 {
 display:none
}
  • See the screenshot in the secure note below.

Thanks.

Hi, I appreciate you checking on this one. It works now. Thank you!

Hi again, when I removed the CSS property that hides my product grids, the category pages are now working. However, another issue has appeared: the products are showing twice on the page. What could be the possible cause of this?
