WooCommerce issues after upgrade to pro

Hi there,

I recently updated our webshop from X to Pro because I want to exclude the plugin “WPbakery Page Builder” as much as possible from the page-design. Unfortunately, the upgrade caused some problems with WooCommerce.

The site is already live using the pro-theme and I will revise everything step by step. The first area to be revised is the shop (Woocommerce) and I have already copied the adjustments from the old child-theme to the new one. Now I have started to update the WooCommerce pages (account, shopping cart, checkout, etc.) with the integrated site builder of pro-theme without using the plugin WPBP.

But now I had the problem that the checkout page is not showing up - using a content area with the Woocommerce shortcode. So for now I have to use the old version of the checkout page to make everything work (it’s even not working if I create a complete new checkout-page).

What I’ve done so far:

WooCommerce Templates are updated
PHP 7.4 is active
Tested with WBP plugin activated and deactivated
Tested with text-area instead of content-area
cleared theme-cache
no caching plugin is active

How is it possible that I rework the old woocommerce pages according to the same principle with the pro-theme and then some pages work and some don’t? Even in the woocommerce backend /status it’s showing the massage at card- and account page, that the site is not containing any woocommerce short code.

Looking forward to hear from you!

Best regards,
Sebastian

Hi Sebastian,

Thanks for reaching out.

Looks like you have a compatibility issue with your WooCommerce files. Your old customization are no longer compatible with the new versions. Regretfully, customizing WooCommerce is outside the scope of our theme support. Please ask help for a 3rd party developer or you can avail our Elite program to help you solve your issues.

Hope that helps.

Thank you.

Hi there,

I don’t think its an issue with the compatibility of the files, because it doesn’t matter if the child theme is active or not. When I go through the checkout process (shopping-cart -> checkout) the checkout page is not showing any content if created with the theme-page-builder. I still need to use the checkout-page created with the WPB plugin to show any content.

When I use the link to open the checkout-page created with the theme-page-builder its showing the content (not right formatted). https://www.weingut-gager.at/shop/checkout/

In the backend of woocommerce I’ve also the problem that in woocommerce/status it’s saying that some sides (created with the theme-page-builder) are not containing any woocommerce shortcode - all statuses of the old pages (created with the WPB plugin) was ok.

I’m very sure that it’s not a customizing issue of woocommerce rather than an issue between pro-theme and woocommerce.

Best regards.

Hi Sebastian

Currently, it’s not recommended to edit Woocommerce reserved pages through the builder due to hook conflict.
I would recommend using the standard editor (WordPress editor) for WooCommerce reserved pages.

Hope it helps.

Thanks
