WooCommerce incompatible with X

Is there an estimate for when X will be compatible with WooCommerce Version 4.6.1?

I’m getting this error: Your theme (X) contains outdated copies of some WooCommerce template files. These files may need updating to ensure they are compatible with the current version of WooCommerce.

So my customers see an error when they add something to their cart: It appears your submission was successful. Even though the server responded OK, it is possible the submission was not processed. Please contact the developer of this form processor to improve this message. Learn More

Products are actually added to the cart despite this message, but it looks bad to have it show up.

Hello Virginia,

Thanks for writing in! Be advised that the supported WooCommerce version of the latest theme release update is up to 4.5.1 only. Our theme developers are currently testing our next update release cycle which will be rolling out anytime soon.

What you are seeing is just a warning and it will not affect the WooCommerce functionality. Your error issue could also be caused by a plugin conflict, amongst other things. Please check out this troubleshooting article here and follow the instructions for the following sections (where appropriate):

  • Testing for Plugin Conflict
  • Child Theme
  • CSS/JS Customization
  • Increasing PHP Memory Limit

Hey Virginia,

The WooCommerce outdated files message is showing even in WooCommerce 4.5.2. It isn’t critical though and we don’t have issues reported even in WC 4.6.1.

What you’re having an issue with is the AMP plugin based on the Learn More you showed us. That AMP plugin could be removing the Javascript features of a site and that includes WooCommerce.

Please perform the Plugin Conflict test as said by Ruenel previously.

Only if those tests were performed and the issue persists, please copy your live site to a staging server and give us a screenshot of the actual issue so we’ll have an idea how to replicate it and if we work on a staging site, there’s no risk of breaking your live site due to troubleshooting.

You can give us the staging log in credentials in the secure note like before.

Thanks.
