WooCommerce Checkout page issue

Hi
I’m not sure if this is a CSS issue but my Pro editor shows the following:

However, the check out page comes out like this:

I have WooCommerce 4.0.1 and Checkout Editor 2.2.1. Is this a compatibility problem or is my CSS “blocked”? Kindly advice.

Hello @sgchan,

Thanks for writing in! After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

And please clear your browser cache too. You may use private browsing mode in testing your site to make sure that you are viewing the latest codes from the updates and not the cached version in your browser.

Hello ruenel
Thank you for your reply. I have not reached the stage of installing any caching plugins yet. Trusting that you can shed some light onto the matter.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi @sgchan,

This is compatibility issue. Checkout page and other woocommerce archive and reserve pages are not compatible with the builder anymore. Checkout page contains hooks and even scripts that the builder is unable to capture (like payment methods, shipping/billing scripts, terms script, user custom added scripts). For now, please make sure the page uses standard template instead of blank template, then make sure it’s not created through the builder and should only contain [woocommerce_checkout] .

Hi @lely,
Can I assume this is temporary? And if so, for how long?

Is there a version that of WooCommerce that I can use that is compatible to the builder? If so, which version?

Hi @sgchan,

Regretfully, there is no WooCommerce version to workaround on this, and besides downgrading WooCommerce version might cause more issues than good.

I’m afraid, we might not able to edit those special WooCommerce pages (cart, checkout, etc.) in the content builder for good since it’s supposed to be edited at the template level (template customization). But I could be wrong and the planned Layout Builder might be the answer.

For now, please make sure the page uses a standard template instead of the blank template, then make sure it’s not created through the builder and should only contain [woocommerce_checkout] .

Thanks,
