Woo Checkout Editor: how to display a custom field in the notification mails?

Using the Checkout Editor, I added a field “VAT number” under field “Company” in the “Billing” form. This works: I can enter and save it.
However, I want to show this VAT-number on the “Billing” information at the bottom of the confirmation E-mail that customers get after they order something. How can I accomplish this? Thanks!
