Hi Kai,

In your admin dashboard, just go to plugins page and look for Woo Checkout Editor then deactivate the said plugin and uninstall it to remove from your WordPress website.

thanks for your reply. of course you must start at the very beginning :wink:
i actually was trying to ask what else i must delete what might remain on the server. setting files, cache files, etc.
i really need a clean install of this plugin.
i have an old installation where everything is working fine. and a newer on where i have problem with. i chaned a lot on the newer one and resettet everything. which helped but some problems remain.
plugins do retain data on the server. no? when i delete a plugin and reinstall it, often the data i customised it with is still there.

Hi Kai,

The only available to reset all the settings for Woo Checkout Editor is the reset options button on the Woo Checkout Editor page.

I suggest if you have a backup of your old installation, just install it on the staging area and replicate all the settings or you can use that backup as starting point.

thanks again for your help!
like i described i already did the built in reset. it did not solve my last issue. the title (mr./ms.) is mixed up in the email confirmation. that is even a woocommerce standard field. very strange i find.
my live website has many many changes compared to the staging site. so using that one is no option.
i changed a lot around with the custom fields plugin, though. now i was hoping for a real good manual reset.
so i am asking again: there are no files on the server belonging to the plugin which could be deleted manually on top of the deinstallation of the plugin??? please let me know if any.

Hello Kai,

Those options were saved in the database. The only way to reset the options is by using the Reset button. There are no files that you can delete that will reset the options or the plugin itself. Even if you delete the plugin files, the options were still saved in your database.

thanks for your reply which was very helpful in the way that i know understand better how the plugin works and saves its settings!
i did some more testing and found that everything works fine (in my case the title/andrede (herr/frau) the moment i deactivate the plugin! and activating the plugin the problem is back.
since i really need a solution soon i describe the problem again:
in the checkout manager the field at the very top is called “billing_title”
this is in german “anrede” and you can choose “frau/herr”
if i choose “herr” then in the confirmation mail of woocommerce as well as in the backend where you can see the succesfull order is says “frau”.
i have no idea why this happens and why it is correct (in most cases) in the invoice.
but there must be a reason or probably bug in your plugin!
i will help you as good as i can to find the reason for this happening. admin access in the secure note.
