I’m trying to set a woocommerce archive and it shows a random selection on results when choosing brands
Hello @LeeRobertson,
Thanks for writing to us.
The page URL you shared is an archive page. Based on the settings, I can see that a custom layout has been created for the WooCommerce archive pages and assigned to the Shop page. Because of this, the same archive layout is being applied across all WooCommerce archive pages, including the Brand taxonomy archive.
Thanks
Thanks, so to what would I set the conditions to?
Hello @LeeRobertson,
I would suggest you please set the conditions like the given screenshot below.
I also noticed that you have a caching plugin installed. Could you please try purging all caches (including your browser cache) and then check the page again? Alternatively, you can temporarily disable the caching plugin to see if that resolves the issue
Thanks
But I want the archives page to have the cornerstone layout with sidebar containing brands and show results in column 1
Hello @LeeRobertson,
I suggest you create a custom WooCommerce archive layout for the Brand taxonomy archive page and design the layout according to your preferences. You need to assign the layout to the Brand taxonomy as well. You would need to set the conditions as shown in the screenshot below.
In case you have not seen the condition and assignment doc, please have a look at it to learn more about how to assign the layouts.
Thanks
I see, I have to create a new archive for different woo taxonomy thanks
It is still showing random results after cache clearing
Hello @LeeRobertson,
You have inserted the prefab Products element. This is only good for the sidebar or normal pages.
And you selected to display a random order:
The correct way of building an archive layout is to have a Looper Consumer, design the items to display in your layout. I would highly recommend that you check out this video tutorials instead:
Best Regards.
Thanks for all your help, I love cornerstone and loopers and consumers but I always struggle with getting a result, it can get really complicated for me with all the different variables. I have rebuilt using a consumer but I still don’t get any results showing. I really appreciate you taking time to guide me
Hello @LeeRobertson,
I have checked your site and can confirm that the Looper is currently set up and working as expected at the provided URL. If you are still experiencing any issues, could you please share more details about your goal and, if possible, attach a screenshot? This information will help us further investigate and provide more specific guidance
Thanks
What I want to do is to get woo archives to be consistent with /store ie have column 1 to show results of category or brands you v choose from the buttons and terms in column 2
Hello @LeeRobertson,
I would recommend setting the layout conditions according to the screenshot provided below.
I would suggest setting the Looper provider to OFF. You only need to set the Looper consumer because the default WordPress loop is already active on the archive page, so there’s no need for an additional loop there.
I would suggest you please purge all the cache and temporarily deactivate the cache plugin, and then check it again.
Thanks
These settings were already in place as you describe, cache is purged, it is still the same
Hello @LeeRobertson,
I checked your website settings and updated them. Please check your site now. Please have a look at the screen recording given in the secure note.
Thanks
Thankyou so much
