I have not got any response on this thread and this thread yet.
Why is my sidebar not showing on my product category pages woo archive pages from layout builder? The shop has global set up with sidebar.
The documentation on the layout builder REALLY needs to be more detailed. Please. I’m about to give up and tell the client this can’t be done in Pro anymore.

Please understand that the Layout Builder is an empty canvas. You can create a custom archive page that will display a sidebar or not to display any sidebar at all. Simply create a section with one row. The row can be divided into 1/3 + 2/3 columns. The 1/3 column part can be your sidebar which can be displayed by inserting a Widget Area element into the column.
Right now, I am only seeing this in your custom layout:
Can you please tell us where you want to display the sidebar?
