When posting a link to my website - Facebook, in an email, etc - the image that autopopulates is an old one, not the current hero image nor the featured image set for the home page. It seems to have reverted to this previous image last fall about the same time as updates from Themeco and/or WordPress. The person who does my website maintenance is stumped.
How do we fix this?

Thank you for writing in, are you using Yoast SEO plugin or any alike plugin? If so, please navigate to Theme Options > Social and turn of the Open Graph. If you don’t have any plugin that offers Open Graph feature then just keep it enabled.
Now, navigate to Facebook Debugger and input your site URL on the field to fetch the open graph data on your site.

If you do have caching plugins, please clear those too.
