Video (Pro element) does NOT show on page nor a preview in the [Pro] editor

I am using a “Video Element” in Pro to show local video with “X Player” (see pic)

There is no preview in Pro editor, nor does the video show up on the page -> just a blank field.
If I use “Embed” option (HTML5 code), it works, but I can’t customise the controls like in the “Pro” player.
It used to work a few days ago without any problems.

I DID upgrade “Envira Gallery” plugin to “pro” and followed the instructions in your documentation to add code in “functions.php” to make it possible to verify the Envira key (through Appearance->Theme Editor in WP).

I don’t know it that is a coincidence or not…

I tried to comment “the added lines” out, but the player still does not work.

Can anyone help me ?

It contains two players with the same video: one using X/Pro player, one using (embedded) HTML5 code.

Hi @denisgaidukov,

The theme doesn’t have a video player, it only uses the Wordpress’s mediaElementJS library for the player and it’s only styled to match the theme design.

The cause of this issue is Envira Gallery Video Addon, it seems overriding the default functionality of the mediaelementjs. Since it’s an Addon, then I recommend contacting the plugin author.
