Video Player within a global block - No controls?

Hi,

I am using the Video embed player within a global block, which I am then inserting into a content area modal. When I do this, and launch the video from the modal in chrome, no controls appear, however they do appear in safari. If I embed the video directly within the page itself (to test), the controls appear.

Any suggestions?

I have replicated your setup, creating a global block with a video element which has embedded a Youtube video and inserted it in a content are modal. I can see the Youtube controls in my local test as shown below:

You might be using the Video element incorrect. Please make sure that you use the Embed option and not the player option.

If nothing is helping, provide us access to your site so that we can check your settings. Please create a secure note with the following info:

Just to be clear - I am not using Embed… I am using the Player with a locally served video.

Yes, I have tested it with a Video element player type and a hosted mp4 video file. But I can’t replicate the issue on my end, please make sure the No Controls option is not enabled.

And please check your content with custom HTML markup for syntax error, you can use this tool here for checking HTML markup.
