Video Element Bug №2

After saving in CS and reloading CS it happens.

Thanks for sending this in. The Video element isn’t setup to accept links to YT as a video source. The source needs to be a URL to an actual video file (like an mp4). You could use the embed source type to embed a YT video.

You probably should check the diffrence between Pro 2.5.5 and Pro 2.6.0 and try it by yourself because in 2.5.5 it perfectly works this way.

Player option works like a charm instead of poster settings. So if

You should probably add it to changelog cause Video Element in 2.5.5 was accepting YT links as a video source

And one more thing. In Player Option then you adding a poster image in 2.5.5 there was (X) mark on poster image then it was set. Now there is no (X) mark in 2.6.0.

That’s interesting. We never intended it to use YT links nor did we test with that. We use MEJS (part of WordPress) to handle the player so it’s possible they added support at one point and it started working. We’ll take a closer look at that. I can’t promise we’ll be able to get it working but we’ll see.

Fixed the image control. YT sources still hanging in the app preview (confirmed it still works on the front end). It doesn’t look MEJS related, but rather something is not quite right in the builder’s process that retrieves scripts/styles on the fly.

Update: After fixing that element duplication issue this is working again in the builder preview. Give it a try after I post the next beta (probably tomorrow).

Nice one. Works fine now.

One more thing. Everytime then i want to inspect Video element which already have a source link pasted it starts to play video inside CS. Maybe it can be fixed somehow.

Good point. I’ve made an adjustment that prevents it from playing in the preview unless you click the actual player controls.
