I have a site created using Ethos demo from 2017. It has several classic elements that I would like to update. What happens if I download a new Ethos content and apply it to the existing site? The site is updated with the latest WP, PHP, and X-Theme versions.
Alternately, what would be the best way to upgrade the classic elements from site created several years ago. Thank you for your help.

If you want to update the theme itself to the latest version alongside the Cornerstone plugin it is a recommended action and you should do and it will not have an impact on your Classic Elements. Just to make sure that we are on the safe side, please backup your website and update the theme manually using the method below:
But, you can not install a demo content on an already created website. The demo content which in the new version is part of the Design Cloud is meant to be used for the newly created websites.
Unfortunately, there is no automated way to change the Classic Elements to the new ones and you need to do it manually. But please kindly consider that even in the latest version of the theme and the Cornerstone plugin the Classic Elements are supported and you can continue using them.
