Using Cornerstone to create custom portfolio tiles

Heyo,

I’ve created my portfolio, sorted the slightly confusing renaming so the portfolio page can be controlled. However how do I create custom tiles from portfolio elements so I can control look and style of each entry when they are listed together on the portfolio category page?

Or do I need to manually create each entry using components?

I can style stuff once I get it in, but getting the data is the problem

Hi Jon,

Thanks for reaching out.
You can use the Looper Provider to get the Portfolio Items and then show it in your way. I can also suggest you use any of the Post elements, change the Looper Provider to Query Builder and select the Portfolio Item as Post Type. It will show the portfolio items in a predefined structure of that element.

Fantastic, a quick watch of the vids, reading the docs and we’re here!

However, I’m having a problem inserting a permalink in correctly. I’m using portfolio but {{dc:p:link}} only gives a # back to the current page

And I’m missing the can or silo icon mentioned here Dynamic Content | Themeco Docs
Where is the complete list of dynamic content and settings? Or what link should I be using?

Hi Jon,

You need use the {{dc:post:permalink}} insetad of {{dc:p:link}} or {{dc:portfolio:permalink}}.
