Urgent - Woocommerce Layouts Not Available

Hi @charlie,

I apologise for posting this in the beta forum, but it is a particularly unusual issue.

I have a live eCommerce website which has strange problems. The Woocommerce Layouts (single and archive) are not accessible in Cornerstone, despite Woocomerce being active:

I have turned off all plugins (Woocommerce alone could not be deactivated) and the issue persisted.

The fact that the Cornerstone Layouts have disappeared is very worrying and I wonder if you can shed any light on this? I notice that Woocommerce is at 9.0.0, so wonder if there is a major update issue?

Many thanks,
Christopher

I seam to be having the same issue: Woocommerce dedicated templates in cornerstone

Update - I have this issue on all Woocommerce websites which have been updated to 9.0.0, but not those at 8.9.3.

We need to update something on our end as we are not detecting if WooCommerce is loaded properly in the latest version of WooCommerce. I’ll try to get a release out tomorrow.

I would step down your WooCommerce version via the download link here https://github.com/woocommerce/woocommerce/releases/download/8.9.3/woocommerce.zip.

Thanks Charlie!

Fix is out in Pro 6.4.22. Let me know if this solves the issue for you in the secure note as well.

Thanks Charlie. All seems to be good again.

However, the fatal error that Woocommerce 9.0.0 was causing forced all websites into recovery mode. The fix seemed to be:

  • Enter recovery mode from the email WordPress generates
  • Install the Pro update
  • Deactivate and uninstall Woocommerce
  • Reinstall Woocommerce from the Pro tab
  • Update the Woocommerce database using the button which appears at the top of the screen

With these steps everything was back to normal on all websites.

That’s a pain sorry, the fatal error didn’t happen on any of my sites. Thanks for the info and bringing this to my attention.
