Upgrade existing site from x to Pro?

Hello, I recently purchased an Unlimited Pro license with you all. I’d like to upgrade one of my existing sites from X to Pro in order to use the “layouts” feature.

Is there a seamless way to do this without messing up the structure of my current site that is using X?

Thanks!

Hi Adrien,

Thanks for reaching out!

Please check this documentation on how you can convert your X to Pro.

Hope that helps.

Thank you.

Hi @AdrienMDesign and @marc_a
I am on the same issue, built a first client site using a licensed X and felt interested for your ways.
So I did acquire an Unlimited Pro license.
After a year ramping up, my first X site feels slowing down, time for an upgrade and the freedom given by Pro vs X.
But… The only way I found to follow up the manual “From X to Pro” is paying $39?
Is this right and will convert my only X license to a Pro license? Shouldn’t it be possible by owning an Unlimited Pro license?
I hope this is adding up to the previous question by Adrien
Thanks

Hi @AdrienMDesign,

The switch between X to PRO should be seamless, given that your X and PRO version is in the same timeline, my personal rule of thumb here is to make sure my X theme is in the latest version, then I will switch to PRO’s latest version as well.

Always remember to clear all your caching features (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) after updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

Another thing, if you have customization done on your x-child theme, you need to install a pro-child theme and transfer all your modifications in there.

Hi Ricard,

You can follow the same principle above about switching from X to PRO.

You already have the PRO Unlimited license, you can simply revoke the site using X, Install PRO on that site and revalidate it using your PRO Unlimited license.

Hope this shed some lights,
Cheers!
