I’ve been trying to update my Pro license on my Wordpress for some time now. At https://theme.co/apex/licenses at Product “PRO” you can find a cryptic code and my website. I copy this code and paste it on my homepage in the white box under

“You’re almost finished!
Your license of X is not validated. Place your Envato purchase code or Themeco license to unlock automatic updates, access to support, and Extensions. Learn more about product validation or manage licenses directly in your Themeco account.”

After I click Enter the page loads and stops at a white screen. With the result that nothing has changed. What am I doing wrong?

I checked your site and you’re still using X while your license was successfully upgraded to Pro. You must first download Pro from your dashboard then install and activate it. I have logged in and checked your website and the validation does not work because you are trying to validate using a Pro license but the theme installed and active on your site is still X.

Please make sure to do the following:

  1. Download and install Pro from your dashboard.

  2. Enable Pro.

  3. Go to Pro > Validation and validate using the Pro license.

Hi again,

If you’ve downloaded the latest copy of Pro from your dashboard then install your Pro theme via Appearance > Themes > Add New and click on Upload Theme button (also see https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Themes)

Activate your Pro theme and then you can remove the X theme under Appearance > Themes (see screenshot)

Finally you can then you can go to Pro > Validation and validate using the Pro license.
