We recently started using the x theme. The theme was installed by a third party and I did not get a license. Do i need to purchase a x license then upgrade to a pro license?

Thanks for writing in!
Since your X theme is already installed, just let it be. Please be informed that Pro theme is a separate theme. You will have to download it from your dashboard (https://theme.co/apex/dashboard) and install it like any other theme. Once it is installed, most of the X theme settings, will be used by Pro theme. For better results, please follow these steps:
- Go to your dashboard (https://theme.co/apex/dashboard) and download Pro theme (pro.zip file).
- In your WP dashboard, please go to X > Validation > Theme Options Manager and download your settings file or the XCS file to your local machine.
- Go to Appearance > Themes and click the “Add New” button.
- Upload the pro.zip file and click the “Install Now” button.
- Once installed, activate the Pro theme just like any normal theme.
- Lastly, go back to Pro > Validation > Theme Options Manager and import the XCS file to make sure that you have all the X theme settings to work with Pro theme.
If ever you will need to use the Pro child theme (https://theme.co/apex/child-themes), you will follow the same steps.
