Update Causing Visual Composer Failure

Hey, I am managing a number of websites we have built with X Theme over the years. I am going through the sites and trying to keep everything up to date but for several of the websites we have built using Visual Composer, the website will remove lots of styling when I update the XTheme core. It seems to remove background colors/images from visual composer blocks, and even removes the page container spacings.

Is there a simple work around for this other than me rebuilding all the pages using cornerstone, or trying to update these areas after updating? Any help would be appreciated.

Please make sure that the X theme and cornerstone plugin are both at the latest version. I also advise that you copy your site to a staging server so that we could examine it without breaking the live site. Once you are able to create a staging area, please give us the following information in a Secure Note.

• WordPress Login URL
• Admin level username and password
• FTP Access
