I’ve encountered this error twice today. After the first time I couldn’t get it to trigger again. Only just now it did occur again.
I had two tabs open and closed one of them. The remaining tab didn’t automatically load. Clicking on the tab did nothing and produced the above error.
Opening another document loads it in place of that broken tab instead of opening it in a new tab.
