Unable to use Firefox / FireFox Developer editions

When using Firefox I can’t seem to use the builder. I can edit elements etc. but the elements never update.

This is pretty consistent across sites. Not just the site in the error below. The same site seems to be OK in Chrome. It might have something to do with pages where I’ve imported a template I created based off another page but I can’t say for sure. I haven’t had time to test this.

In the developer tools I see the below error.

Failed render SyntaxError: JSON.parse: unexpected character at line 1 column 1 of the JSON data

Hi @urchindesign,

I’ve given this a try and it’s all working for me. It could be something specific to a page you have. If you want I could login to take a look. Just let me know what steps to take to reproduce the issue. Thanks!

Thanks. I’ll add a private note. Just setting up a password.

It seems to be happening in several sites. I use Dashlane as the only add-on in Firefox itself although I have only installed this on the developer edition and the problem occurs on both Firefox and Firefox Developer Editions.

Server is running Litespeed.

Sorry to do this. I’m beginning to wonder if there wasn’t a version of Firefox with a problem although the last update was the 8th and was struggling with this for several weeks now.

Just tested three of my sites that are in development where I had noticed the issue. All of them now seem to be 100% fine and I haven’t updated or changed anything. No plugins have been updated.

If the problem comes back I’ll circle back to it and post a secure note here.

I also encountered this some weeks ago but I think as you mention @urchindesign a recent update cured the issue.

Ok glad to hear that! Makes sense since the Developer Edition gets more frequent updates so perhaps there was a window of time where something wasn’t quite right.
