Unable to implement Google Tag Manager particularly for Conversion Tracking

Hi

I’ve just had Google Tag Technical Solutions Team work through my site built in X (child theme) to implement Google Tag Manager. We’ve tried all methods that Google were aware of but we couldn’t get it to work. We are tying to install conversion tracking. We tried the plugins Google Site Kit, Insert Headers and Footer, plus adding the tracking code to JS for the whole site, but it hasn’t worked. Any input or advice?
