Unable to edit anything on website after update

After your latest update, it’s impossible to edit any existing content on my website. The builder loads properly but the elements are not displayed. Image attached.

I’m currently losing both time and money because you’re pushing unfinished product live.

I have deactivated most of the plugins that could affect the theme.
I have cleared the browser cache.
I have tried the builder from a new browser.
I have cleared the entire website cache.

Nothing happens - the pages are still uneditable.

Not only is the builder not showing elements but now I noticed I can’t build new pages because presets have disappeared completely. Disaster.

Another update.

It’s now impossible to add a sidebar to the desired section. Has your Q/A team done any work on this update?

Hello @dzimiruka,

Thanks for writing to us.

Sorry for your inconvenience, thanks for checking plugin conflict and clearing the cache, can you please copy your live site to a staging server so we could check without breaking your live site and investigate it further?

And give us access in the secure note including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– WordPress Admin username/password
– FTP/CPanel access

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

Hello @prakash_s,

My website is currently in the process of migration so I could create a staging server. I’ll send you the details by Tuesday latest.

Thanks

Hey Aleksa,

Our staff will be on standby. Meanwhile, please make sure that you are up to date. Could you please update to the latest versions? Our latest versions are:

  • Pro theme 4.0.7
  • WordPress 5.6

This latest release contains fixes for several issues so be sure to check out the changelog:

After doing the updates, always remember to clear all caches (if you are using Autoptimize, WP Rocket, WP SuperCache or W3 Total Cache) when updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

Please let us know how it goes.

Hi @ruenel,

I’ve updated the theme to 4.0.7 and cleared my cache but the issue persists. A new issue now occurs. I can’t even access the theme PRO edit screen. When I click edit with PRO (everything else works normally) or any functionality that PRO offers, I’m taken to the login screen.

EDIT: The login screen issue was fixed. The only issue I have now is that I can’t edit older pages.

Hey @ruenel,

Since I’m not able to set up staging, I found the source of this issue myself. It’s the plugin WP-external links. However, a member of your team recommended it here: Add rel="noreferrer" attribute to external links

What do you think? Is there another plugin I could use to have external links set up as no-follow?

Thanks

Hello Aleksa,

I do not have any plugin that I can recommend at the moment. The best suggestion I can give you is this. Now, that you have found out that the plugin is causing the issue, I highly recommend that you temporarily deactivate the plugin while you are editing the page/s. Once you are done, you can activate the plugin again.

Hope this works out for you.
