UberMenu Dynamic Terms no longer working

I have a full list of dynamic terms based on product tags feeding into my main menu with item counts all working flawlessly, then about a week ago they completely broke, no change seemed to occur with exception of regular updates. Is anyone else experiencing this issue and found a way to fix it?

The url is here where you can checkout what I’m dealing with: https://wesrshoppingshow.com/

Under the main header menu see “Gift Card Categories” this was previously populated with over 20 individual product tags, now all that shows is the shortcode [Dynamic Terms].

Hello @redzephyrdesign,

Thanks for writing in! Does this happened after your updates, please check out this documentation for more troubleshooting tips:

It could also be caused by a plugin conflict, amongst other things. Please check out this troubleshooting article here and follow the instructions for the following sections (where appropriate):

  • Testing for Plugin Conflict
  • Theme Update
  • Child Theme
  • Disabling Cache
  • Disabling CDN

If nothing is helping, provide us access to your site so that we can check your settings. Please create a secure note with the following info:

Best Regards.

I have performed all of the troubleshooting methods you listed and nothing changed in regards to the Dynamic Terms being displayed. I have posted site info as requested so I am hoping the support team could look into this and see if they could locate the issue.

I would appreciate any assistance you can offer.

Hello @redzephyrdesign,

Please go to Appearance > UberMenus and edit your menu. You need to select the parent terms in order to display the dynamic terms.

Please review the UberMenu documentation here and compare it to your menu settings:

Kindly let us know how it goes.

One more thing to note: checking the UberMenu as it is currently built and setup works in the UberMenu Sandbox as shown in the snapshot below - clearly this is not how it is working on the front-end of the site.

Parent term assignments do not seem to do anything.

Hello @redzephyrdesign,

I noticed that you are using SiteGround. Can you please disable the supercacher in your hosting panel? The SuperCacher is developed by SiteGround exclusively for their customers. It increases the number of hits a site can handle and boosts the website loading speed. The SuperCacher includes 4 different caching options for maximum optimization of your websites. You can access the tool by clicking on the SuperCacher icon in your cPanel.

For more information about this, please check it out here: https://www.siteground.com/tutorials/supercacher/supercacher_intro.htm

Hope this helps.

All caching has been disabled for the site and the SiteGround Optimizer plugin has been disabled and removed from the site. No change to the UberMenu though.

Hi @redzephyrdesign,

I checked your website and I am astonished that the menu worked for you before. You used the Pro Navigation Inline feature which overrides whatever additional stuff you add using UberMenu and uses Navigation Inline styling and info.

You most probably need to use UberMenu all together instead of the Navigation Inline element.

I suggest that you follow the steps mentioned below to do so:

Thank you.

I have updated the navigation as suggested in the video using a sidebar widget to insert it into the header builder and still no results from within the theme, this is quite perplexing.

I spoke too soon, I went back through the UberMenu Settings and it seems some changes may have been made during the troubleshooting process, but we do finally have some dynamic tag results showing on the front end of the site. This seems to do the trick now!

Thank you for your assistance in getting this to work it is greatly appreciated!

Glad it’s working now, and thanks for sharing, cheers!
