Typekit Bad Requests

The following requests are returning 404/410 responses.

X theme is up to date, and I’m using pro. I’ve put my website in the private note.

Hey Nathan,

Upon checking, you’re not using the latest version of Pro. In addition to that, I couldn’t check your Typekit setup because Pro’s interface like the Theme Options and Templates are load indefinitely.

Please do the following troubleshooting steps to narrow down what’s causing the issue:

  1. Ensure everything is up to date according to our version compatibility list at https://theme.co/docs/version-compatibility. Please follow the best practices when updating your theme and plugins. See https://theme.co/docs/product-updates for more details.

  2. Test for a plugin conflict. You can do this by deactivating all third party plugins, and seeing if the problem remains. If it’s fixed, you’ll know a plugin caused the problem, and you can narrow down which one by reactivating them one at a time.

  3. If you’re using a child theme, switch to the parent theme. This will quickly tell if a custom code in the child theme is causing the issue.

If none of that helps, this could be an issue on Typekit’s end. In that case, we’ll need to investigate further. It’s risky to troubleshoot in your live site though so it would be best that you copy your live site to a staging server and give us Staging WordPress Admin access.

Thanks.

I created a staging site with the latest version of Pro. Credentials are in the secure note.

Hi Nathan,

Thanks for the credentials, but it seems not working on staging site. Would you mind providing again the latest ones?

Thanks!

Sorry, I suppose the live-to-staging update didn’t work. Please try again now. Thanks!

Hi Nathan,

Thank you for the credentials, The TypeKit service has been replaced by Adobe as a service called Adobe Fonts. This means our TypeKit Extension is no longer available, as the service it depended on has been taken down.

That being said, we have included native functionality for Adobe Fonts through the Font Manager. This means you can continue using your fonts. If you still have the TypeKit plugin installed, we would advise deleting it and using the Font Manager instead.

Your version of PRO (3.1.2) is a few updates behind, please update to the latest version (3.2.3)

Updating Your Themes and Plugins

Remember to clear all your caching features (plugin, server-side, CDN, and browser’s cache) after updating so that the code from the latest release is always in use. This will help you to avoid any potential errors.

Hope it helps,
Cheers!
