Transparent side nav with pro

is it possible to have a transparent side nav with pro that behind it is the page content? see link in secure note. the nav is set as transparent, but is showing grey. we want it to show page content behind it.

Are you trying to have a layout like this?

The screenshot above is NOT possible with the current setup using the Blank - No Container | Header, Footer page template. You may be able to achieve something similar using some custom CSS but it will just create another issue just like this:

Since you are using the Pro theme, please utilize the Layout builder, Pro > Layouts, and create your own custom layout that has the fixed transparent side nav and the right side will have the content area. Your custom layout is far easier to achieve than what you have in mind with the current page setup.

It makes sense, however I am having trouble getting the nav set up to be transparent over the content area in the layout builder. Can you assist any help?

Can you please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to check what you are trying to do, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Login URL
– Specific Layout where you are trying to achieve this
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Hey @chmm9002,

To show the content behind the navigation menu, you need to set the position of the Bar to absolute but this isn’t supported in the left or right headers. It needs to be done with custom CSS which is not recommended at all because sooner or later custom CSS always creates issues and specifically in your case.

You should use the Top header instead of Left header to have a transparent menu over content.
