Too Much Padding Around H1, H2, H3, H4, H5, H6 when using WP Bakery Page Builder

Hello, The Pro theme is my favorite theme. I have at least 20 licenses and have been enjoying using this beautiful theme for several years on 20 websites.

I am having a little trouble with too much padding on the top of any header text. I have not learned how to use Cornerstone yet and am still using WP Bakery Page Builder. Whenever I add a row, then a text box and type text with any of the text styles other than paragraph there seems to be an extra 30px of padding on top of the text. This makes it difficult to center vertically the header text without adding a lot of padding or margin below the text. This leads to a taller row.

Here is an example: https://www.temporaryserver10.com/team-training/ On this page there is some H4 text in a row with a red background. “For Corporate, Local Business & Non-Profits” The padding and margin on the text box are set to zero, the column padding and margin is set to zero and the row padding and margin is set to zero. However, you can see there is at least 20px or 30px more space above the text than below.

What is the solution to this?

Right after submitting this ticket I have found a good solution. Instead of using a text box the Custom Heading is the correct choice. This does not add in much padding and makes the rows more manageable.

Hi Jon,

Glad you sorted things out, the headlines (h1 - h6) have a default margin-top: 1.25em; unless the element containing has a CSS rule to remove it. You can remove the default top margin from the headline by applying a class mtn to it.

We appreciate your custom, and we understand that you’re use to Visual Composer but we encourage you to learn Cornerstone/Content Builder and build your future pages using it moving forward.
