I just wanted to make your staff aware that there is a bug in the Skin Builder. And maybe this helps someone who is struggling with what is happening here (there is a workaround)…
The issue:
The skin builder will not save anything you create nor will the import demo skins feature work. Here is a screenshot of the console when loading the “Create a Skin” page…
This install was running WP 5.6.2 and I confirmed on another site that 5.7 was doing the same thing. I use The Grid all over the place so I have a few examples to experiment with.
The Workaround:
I used WP Downgrade | Specific Core Version to roll back the core to 5.2 (it may have worked with a version significantly newer than that but I just went back to an arbitrary version that was just from a while back to test). Anyway, that worked and I was able to build my skin as per usual. Now I’ll simply update to 5,7 and move on down the road.
But this is obviously not ideal. I figured since you guys have a deal with Themeone, you might want to reach out to them and get someone on their team to deal with this buggy behavior.
And, yes, I tried this in multiple browsers on multiple sites hosted on different servers even. All were at least WP 5.6.2 and all were running PHP 7.3 at least (no one is on 8.0 yet). Only when rolling back the WP core was I able to use the plugin as intended.
Please let us know if there is any movement on this. Thanks in advance.
