We just transferred x to pro and wonder if it was a good idea because we are beginner users.

On the prospect of further development:

  • do you implement new features first on pro and then on x?
  • is the development of x more in focus because it looks like it is sold more often?

Thanks for reaching out.

Converting your X to Pro is one of the best choice you made. Everything inside the X theme is also available in Pro. Also, there’s a lot of functionality that Pro have and doesn’t have on X. Example, Pro have a Header and a Footer Builder where you can customize your header and footer layout by using Pro Builders. We will also launch soon the Layout Builder that’s only available in Pro. In other words, Pro is the upgraded version of X.

@marc_a Hi Marc, thanks for the info. Do you know when the Layout Builder is planned to roll out? All in all it sounds like it is worth to wait with building the new page until the update is out.

Hi Andreas,

We are still doing some beta with the Layout Builder, you can try it with yourself. Just go to your themeco account and download the beta. We don’t have an estimated time when we will launch the builder but you can always check the updates here.

Last questions:

  • Is it possible to work with the beta now and update it to the release 4.0 when it is published with one click?
  • Does it make sense to start with the beta for me as a total beginner when it comes to your documentation?

Hi Andreas,

Yes, you can work with the beta but it has still some bugs that need some fixes. I suggest that you just started working with the latest version of Pro 3.2.3 and get yourself familiarize with the theme. You can also browse and search our docs on how to use any of the Pro elements. You can also visit our Youtube Channel for more video tutorial about our theme.
