Theme broken totally after WordPress update

theme broken totally after WordPress update

any ideas what to do? how to i update to the lates x theme?

Hi @kimberley,
Thanks for reaching out.

I would suggest you check our version compatibility page for the supported versions WordPress, theme, and plugins.
If your site WordPress version is not in our supported version list, I would suggest you downgrade the WordPress version of your website to the supported one. To downgrade the WordPress version you can get help from here: https://soliloquywp.com/how-to-downgrade-wordpress-to-an-older-version/

Once your site back in a stable situation, please update the theme by following the instructions in this article: https://theme.co/docs/how-to-update

Thanks

my wordpress is 5.5.1 is that not working then?

Hi @kimberley,

We are currently testing our themes and plugins with the updated version of WordPress, theme and bundled plugins will be released after it has passed our test. Till then, we recommend you to stay with the versions mentioned in our version compatibility page.

Thanks

Hey @kimberley,

I checked the site you’ve registered to your license and it’s down not just for me but for others as well.

Is that what you mean by broken?

I’d like to add here that nothing would be broken just by upgrading WordPress especially that 5.5.1 is just a minor release.

We need to know if the issue you’re experiencing is really coming from our theme. It could be coming from a 3rd party plugin or customizations (if applicable).

That said, please perform all the troubleshooting steps listed in our Common Issues article here https://theme.co/docs/common-issues

Only if none of the listed solutions help, please give us the following information in a Secure Note.

  • WordPress Login URL
  • Admin level username and password
  • FTP or cPanel access

You can find the Secure Note button at the bottom of your posts.

Thanks.

no is not down

Hi @kimberley,

Now the site is accessible, and it has been found that you are using the outdated version of X and Cornerstone. I would suggest you update the theme and plugins to current versions and check if the issue still exists.
If that issue exists, please perform the common issue test as suggested by my colleague.

If none of the above helps and the issue still persists at your end, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Admin URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks

ok i will do, here you can see litlebit hw it looked before update of wordpress

Hi @kimberley,

Please let us know how it works after you update the theme and plugins with the supported version of WordPress.

Thanks

hello, i am renewing my support at theme forest can i after auto update my theme. and also i can see from some reason my domain is with .net when i have .com any ideas why?

Hi @kimberley,

As long as your theme or plugin is validated, you will have automatic updates available to you. And about the .net and .com problem, the location may be added with the .net, you can change by editing the Production URL.

Thanks

just want to say wow what a support you guys have

hi again,

i have added a anchor link on a button like this http://mysite.com/#booking and further down on the page i have this code:

Hi @kimberley,

Thanks for your appreciation on our support. Before we going into your other issues, I would like to request you to update the X and Cornerstone.

Thanks

is updated now

Hi @kimberley,

The mentioned id is not set to the specific section, I would suggest you set the id to any of the elements and try this again.

I would also like to notify you that, some custom CSS and JavaScript link has been added to the Theme Options > JS section and which causes console errors, please check and remove those.

Thanks

hi,

code is removed and href anchor is there but still not working see here https://ibb.co/7Q2cTVG

Hi @kimberley,

It seems you have updated the Cornerstone only, the X is still behind its updated version. This might be a reason for your issue.

Please update the theme and check it again. If that does not help, please provide login credentials for your site in a secure note to examine it further, including:

– WordPress Site URL & Admin URL
– WordPress Admin username/password

To create a secure note, click the key icon underneath any of your posts.

Thanks
