The save button can be clicked even when there are no changes to be saved. Perhaps it would be better to make this button non-clickable and make it green only when there actually is something to save?
@JvP, thanks for sharing! The green is an indication that you’re “all good” and everything is up to date. The yellow “alert” state is used to get your attention that something has changed or needs to be addressed potentially. There are no plans to change the colors at this time. As for the save button being clickable even when there are no changes to be saved…we actually discussed that and left it in because we know that some users simply psychologically like to feel like they “really saved” something even when it already is. It’s a very nuanced thing. Most probably won’t go click on the Save unless alerted to it by the color, and even if they do, they simply get a positive feedback loop on it.
Thanks!
Ah yes, I’m one of those people who like to save more than necessary
Ok, all good then. I love how you guys put a lot of thought in everything!
Sounds good! I’m one of those people, too…so I get it! Haha.
