The Grid Plugin - Vulnerability

I’m showing that the latest version of The Grid that’s bundled with the Pro theme has a vulnerability “broken access control”. Is there going to be a fix for this from theme.co?

Hello @Tech4Eleven,

The Grid plugin was removed from our Extensions many years ago. You will need to reach out to the plugin owner if you have any questions, as it is no longer supported and hasn’t been since 2020. For our customers, we recommend using Cornerstone’s native Grid Element.

Thanks

Ok Wow. Im not sure how I didn’t know that  I’ve been using The Grid to pull in posts to a page and filter them, like at https://tech4eleven.com/work/. I know how to create a page of posts (like I’ve done at https://tech4eleven.com/blog/) using built in tools (looper providers, etc) but how can I re-create the “filter” that’s seen at the top of that page (all, pro website, core website, logo) using built in tools in Pro?

Hey @Tech4Eleven,

You can use the Layout Builder to create a custom archive layout and use FacetWP for your filter. Check out this tutorial:

You should also check out this tutorial where you can easily setup custom sorting capabilities in WordPress with zero plugins.

If you want something more complex, you can use the built-in Row element’s Masonry feature.

This needs custom JS and the Isotope JS integration, though. By the way, our standard support does not cover custom code changes. If you need help with custom coding, you can upgrade to our One service for hands-on assistance.

Best Regards.
