The Grid Instagram problem. "Sorry, an error occurred from Instagram API"

Hi,

We have a site that is not showing Instagram feed on The grid.
When checking preview in The Grid it displays “Sorry, an error occurred from Instagram API”.

I have the same set up on multiple sites ad it’s all working great.
There have been no recent changes or additional plugins implemented on the site.

The Grid version is 2.7.4
X version 7.2.3

Issue shows on home page, bottom section.

Thanks for reaching out.

Seems it’s Instagram restriction, please check this https://www.instagram.com/developer/changelog/, and this announcement https://developers.facebook.com/blog/post/2020/03/10/final-reminder-Instagram-legacy-api-platform-disabled-mar-31/

As per new requirement, you’ll have to submit review and create app within Instagram that will allow and permit your site (especially your the_grid plugin) to access those data. https://developers.facebook.com/docs/apps/review

Personally, it quite tricky for me too as Instagram standard always change causes this issues over and over. Perhaps I can say, it’s now only good for custom developed application.

It is curious that it still works fine on other sites. Maybe it’s just a matter of time until it breaks
