Is it intentional that the text align options are not available in the brand new Columns and Rows? If so, what’s the reason for the change? (I use them all the time on the older versions of rows and columns)
I’m finding the flex setting much more useful, so don’t miss them
If they are not there anymore, would that mean that old text-aligned content would lose its alignment after the update?
I have reported a similar issue at the beginning of Beta, and it was fixed.
@scotbaston, in general, I agree. This may just be an issue with elements like headline and testimonial, because after playing with some other elements, many of them seem to respect the flexbox settings where those two don’t.
The issue can be seen if you put a headline with primary and secondary text on the page, and then set the flexbox settings to “center” for the parent column. In the Beta, it doesn’t center the text within the headline, just the outer bounds of the headline element itself – and the text continues to align left within it until you change the text alignment up at the section level, or drill down into the text settings for each text field.

@Misho I saw your other thread, but was under the impression that was specific to the old version of columns and rows? I still see the text align options on classic columns. This particular issue relates specifically to the fancy new rows and columns that couldn’t be created until the beta.
Thanks @devinelston,
We’ve addressed this by putting Text Align in the setup box for the new Row and Column elements.
