Testimonial Slider Formatting

Using the testimonial slider, there doesn’t appear to be the option to format the citation text field as rich text.
Specifically, I’d like to use either <em>, <strong>, or <a> tags in that box without having to code them manually (for client editing)-- but unfortunately Cornerstone doesn’t provide an option to format subsets of contained text-- eg. for book titles or website names.

Any way to add rich text functionality to all field options in a future release?

Hello Tristan,

Thanks for writing in! Regretfully the Testimonial Slider does not have citation element in it. It is using a Text and Headline elements. You cannot modify the tags or put tags in it because it is using a Looper Provider JSON and all of the text contents were provided by the JSON.

If you want to be able to edit any of the text contents, you will have to disable the Looper Provider and Looper Consumer in the slider. You will then have to create the slides individually where you can insert any elements that you want in each of the slides. Be advised that the Testimonial Slider is just a template which will serve as a guide. You can create your own Testimonial Slider with your own unique touch. You must be familiar with the Sliders though before you can achieve it.

Best Regards.

My apologies, I realized I had to workaround the JSON issue you mentioned by dropping a testimonial element into a traditional slider.

So, apply the above help/feature request to the Testimonial element.

Hello Tristan,

I will add a feature request to have another Testimonial Slider design that has <em>, <strong> or <a> tag in it.

Cheers.
