Hi-

I’m thinking of revising the home page on my web site and using this site as a model: https://www.callbruno.com/en/

I’m wondering how many of the effects I see are possible with X (what I could do with plugins, what I could do with custom CSS/Javascript/what’s just not possible.

I’m not looking for instructions at this point, I’d just like to get a sense of which of those three categories each of the following fall into:

Specifically on their home page:
-The hero area text pops up and in from the side
-When the user scrolls down, the text in the hero area fades away, a contact link appears and graphic/text elements fade in and move in from the sides .
-The way the background behind the image changes color from dark to light when the user scrolls down to the “Our culture” section.

Thanks for any guidance you can offer.

Thanks for writing in!

The example URL is not using WordPress. It is using custom coding with parallax effect.
1.) The hero area text pops up and in from the side.
__ This effect cannot be replicated with the X theme. You can only hide the section, row, or column initially and show them upon scrolling. With the Effects module feature of the theme, you can only scale the elements while scrolling the page.

2.) When the user scrolls down, the text in the hero area fades away, a contact link appears and graphic/text elements fade in and move in from the sides .
__ This can be replicated with the Effects module. As the user scrolls the page, the section, row, or column can be hidden away with a caveat that it goes along with the page scroll and do not stay in place in the browser screen.

3.) The way the background behind the image changes color from dark to light when the user scrolls down to the “Our culture” section.
__ This can be done by adding a Filter effect when the user scrolls the page.

Thanks for getting back to me. Could I have someone write custom CSS Or Java to get the effect of the text popping up and in from the side? Or is it just not possible at all?

Hi Brian,

The custom CSS or JavaScript is outside the scope of Theme Support, and that is why my colleague has referred our newly launched service called One, where we answer the questions beyond normal theme support.
