Tabs keep on scrolling to bottom of document

Hi.
Already tried to insert the jQuery( function($) patches, as recommended in many other threads (it used to work the last time this issue appeared) but the problem keeps coming back, many tabs scroll wildly to the very bottom of pages.

Any stable solution?
Thanks.

Hi Emilio,

Thank you for writing in, I see you have WP Bakery Page Builder 6.2, but the latest supported version is 6.1 (refer here), please reinstall your WP Bakery Page Builder to that version. And please remove all the custom jquery you added with regards to scrolling to avoid conflict.

Thanks,

Hi there.
Just downgraded to version 6.1 but problem persists.

Please, help.

Hello Emilio,

Actually the page scrolling is working. When you open the URL or click the tabs, it will scroll to the correct tab panel. Please take a look at this image below:

The red box is the tab panel with the ID "CulturaFV’. It displays just below the green box which is the header. Normally, the red box will display on the top of the screen usually behind the fixed header. With the built JS script listener in the theme, it displays the panel or the element with the ID just below the header. Hope this explains it briefly.

No, it’s not scrolling right.
Links were working perfectly a few weeks ago, now many of them they jump to bottom of document.

Problem happens regardless of the browser model/version. Not in every tab, some work some don’t.

Hey Emilio,

The issue happens if you open the 3rd tab when the 1st or 2nd tab is open.

This could be a conflict with the latest version of our theme and the native Visual Composer Tab element. Would you mind confirming that by reverting X to the Stable Version available in your Dashboard. The Stable Version download link is located below the Latest Version download button as shown in the following screenshot.

If the issue persists, please confirm if this is a conflict with our theme in general. To do that, switch to the default WordPress theme and deactivate all 3rd party plugins except WPBakery Page Builder.

If this is a conflict with our theme, what we do is post this case in our issue tracker and it will be queued to be investigated by our development team.

Please just note that we do not support WPBakery’s native elements so we can’t guarantee that this will get fixed. With this in mind, I’d recommend that you rebuild your page using our Cornerstone page builder.

Thanks.

Hum… how can we downgrade? Is there a safe way?
We’re using a child theme, just can’t uninstall and re-install without messing things up roughly.

Hey Emilio,

The safest way is to use website backups. Please ask your web host if you have backups of your site. If not, you need to follow what I’ve suggested which is to install the Stability version.

I’d also like to add that it’s best that you do all that in a staging copy of your site.

Thanks.

Finally made it. Now it’s back to normal, by downgrading first WPBakery then X. All manually.

Thank you.

You’re most welcome,

Cheers!
