Subcategory terms using $params Custom Looper

Im wanting to show the subcategories of a product category in a layout page and I’ve been able to do this perfectly with the very good explanation of @marc_a on this thread below:

But I wanted to take a step further and make this array editable on the $params JSON on the content builder using the custom looper function. Would this be something you guys can help me with?

I’ve tried following the themecos videos on youtube but had not much luck.

The referenced thread is showing how you can get the WooCommerce sub-categories through the Looper Provider hooks. But the array is coming through the hooks is not editable and shows the result of the query made in the function. Can you please elaborate on what do you mean by editable array here? If you are trying to send the parameter you can use the Param option to send it in a JSON format. The following thread might be helpful on this.

Hi @striata, Instead of using the Query String you can use the Custom option where you can call any custom hooks. The custom hook method can be written into your child theme functions.php, and the parameter can be passed in the JSON format.
