Style Widget

Hello, I am trying to get the email form at the bottom of this page https://tippinspies.com/ to display horizontally rather than stacked. Can you please help me out? It is a widget created by the emfluence Marketing Platform plugin. Thanks in advance!

Hi @GreaterGoodSolutions,

It is definitely possible to have the form fields display on one line with custom codes. However, providing custom codes goes beyond the scope of our support.

Here are some links that might help you get started:

Hope this helps.

Thank you but I am not asking for custom code, I’m asking what element I need to target with the CSS. I have tried using Element CSS for the Widget Area. Is that the correct element to target?

Hi @GreaterGoodSolutions,

It would be best to get in touch with the plugin developer as we only provide support specific to X and Cornerstone and not for customization of a third party plugin due to the fact that there is simply no way to account for all of the potential variables at play when using another developer’s plugin or script. Because of this, any questions you have regarding setup, integration, or troubleshooting any piece of functionality that is not native to X will need to be directed to the original developer.

Thank you for your understanding.

I am asking a question that is specific to the X Theme. When I use the Widget Area element from Cornerstone, is that element the one I need to target in order to style it? Or do I target the column, row, section etc?

Hey @GreaterGoodSolutions,

If you want to style the 3rd party form, you need to target elements in that form regardless of where you’ll put the CSS. Ask the developer of the plugin of what elements to target specifically to achieve the design you need. Then, add the CSS in the Global, Content, or the Element CSS if you wish to target elements within the Widget Element only.

Based on your previous screenshot, you’re not using the Element CSS correctly. Please read the documentation about the Element CSS first to know how to use it.

That’s all we can provide for this case because again, we cannot provide what elements you need to target in a 3rd party plugin. You either need to learn how to use the browser’s element inspector or ask the plugin developer to target.

Hope that helps and thank you for understanding.
